Environmental Associate

Keller and Heckman LLP, a leading international law firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., is seeking an experienced Environmental Associate to join its preeminent national chemical practice. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in environmental, administrative, or regulatory law and a strong background in science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct contact counseling to clients on environmental and chemical control matters
- Defend clients against enforcement actions and draft opinion letters and memoranda
- Prepare rulemaking comments and represent coalitions and trade associations
Requirements:
- Strong academic credentials and analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assume immediate responsibility and work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated comfort with regulatory, technical, and government policy issues
