Job Summary

The Sustainability Director will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the company's sustainability processes and initiatives to ensure environmentally responsible and conscious operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set the overall sustainability vision and strategy for the company.
  • Oversee multiple sustainability programs, initiatives, and teams across different departments or business units.
  • Engage with stakeholders, representing the company's sustainability efforts to investors, regulators, customers, and other external parties.
  • Coordinate and support the company's sustainability processes and initiatives.
  • Research and analyze external market activities, peer sustainability initiatives, and legislative and executive branch sustainability developments and initiatives.
  • Make recommendations for courses of action and strategies to enhance the company's sustainability profile.
  • Liaise with internal shareholders to collect, verify, and analyze sustainability data, including environmental safety, health, and welfare (EHS), human resources, corporate social responsibility, and supply chain activities.
  • Understand the portfolio of sustainability activities across the business, including those under development.
  • Assist in developing executive-level presentations from initial storyboarding to logical structuring to presentation and delivery.
  • Integrate sustainability into the company's overall business strategy at a strategic level.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, with a focus or coursework in sustainability-related research or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a consultant research, government, or analyst role.
  • Demonstrated capability in and familiarity with sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Planning, organization, and time management skills.
