Position OverviewThis role involves providing technical support and expertise to resolve hardware and software issues encountered by end-users. The technician will work with various devices including desktops, laptops, servers, and telecommunications systems.
Key Responsibilities- Addressing inquiries from end-users related to technology challenges, including incident identification, research, and resolution for first and second-tier issues.
- Utilizing incident management systems and service desk applications.
- Supporting a range of endpoint devices within the organization’s network.
- Assisting in recommending modifications to systems to minimize user issues.
- Supporting and managing audio, video, and web conferencing tools.
- Facilitating IT-related communications for employees within the organization.
- Participating in user testing, implementation, documentation, and communication efforts for the IT department.
- Creating and presenting reports to management under supervision as needed.
- Providing after-hours support and taking on additional responsibilities as assigned.
- An Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required. Candidates without an Associate's degree should have two additional years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of one year of relevant technical experience is essential.
- Basic knowledge of client/server environments, networking, mainframe systems, and applications.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator certification is required within 12 months of hire or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Availability for on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule.
- At least three years of end-user support experience in a client/server, network, and mainframe environment is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including holidays, in a 24/7 operational environment.
