Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Support Analyst to join our team at Portland Community College. As a key member of our IT department, you will provide strategic and operational support to both internal and external clients related to instructional and administrative computing technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients on various computing technologies and systems.
  • Act as a consultant and technical support analyst to various operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with other technical staff and management to achieve departmental goals.
  • Lead and participate in meetings, projects, committees, business analysis, and administrative teams.
  • Provide work direction and coordination of work activities to other technical staff and/or student employees.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in computer-related discipline or relevant experience.
  • Four or more years of work experience with automated systems in a complex network environment.
  • Successful experience working in an end-user, customer-facing role in a trouble-shooting capacity.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Powershell, Bash/Zsh, or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with endpoint management systems, such as Jamf, KACE, or Ghost Solution Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Higher Education.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Certification in CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+, or Cloud+.
