Job Description

The Director of Contracts and Compliance will serve as the leader of the ARKA Contracts organization, overseeing a diverse portfolio of multiple companies across the United States and the United Kingdom in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement contract strategy to achieve business objectives
  • Manage and lead a team of contracts professionals with responsibilities including resource planning and allocation, talent acquisition and development, and budgeting and financial oversight
  • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure needs are met in the most effective and efficient manner
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and suppliers
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry trends, making recommendations for process improvements

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an accredited law school
  • Member of at least one state bar
  • 10+ years experience with US Government Contracts in a law firm and industry, preferably in the Defense and Aerospace industry
  • Proven track record of successfully leading high-performing teams
