Patient Care Director Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Patient Care Director to join our team at Danbury Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of patient care delivery systems and nursing practice standards.

About the Role:

This is a senior leadership position that requires strong business acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for managing budgets, overseeing the performance of nursing staff, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operation and achieve strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing practice standards for all units.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective departmental operations.
  • Oversee the performance of nursing staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with Quality Department Leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and develop quality and safety initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain an environment that supports service excellence and is a role model for staff, patient, and family interactions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in Nursing Leadership with comparable scope.
  • Maternal/Child Nursing Management experience required.

Salary Information: $65,800 - $122,200 per annum, based on location and experience.
