Director of Patient Care Services, Maternal Child

About the Role:

In this leadership position, you will oversee the development and implementation of patient care delivery systems and nursing practice standards at Danbury Hospital. As a key member of the nursing management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of patient care, leading operations, and driving strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate nursing practice standards for all units.
  • Assume 24/7 accountability for supervising personnel and facilitating optimal patient care through resource utilization.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, feedback, and foster teamwork to achieve quality services with high employee engagement.
  • Lead and be accountable for reaching organizational goals and provide recommendations for strategic growth targets.
  • Assume responsibility for effective fiscal management of the department to ensure proper financial resource utilization.
  • Foster interdisciplinary and interdepartmental communication for effective clinical service operation.
  • Collaborate with Quality Department Leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and develop quality and safety initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain an environment that supports service excellence and is a role model for staff, patient, and family interactions.
  • Partner with Human Resources to maintain a standardized approach to employee engagement and labor relations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in Nursing Leadership with comparable scope.
  • Maternal/Child Nursing Management experience required.

Salary Information: $65,800 - $122,200 per annum, based on location and experience.
