Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Behavioral Health Program Director to lead our team in delivering high-quality behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree, licensure in social work or a related field, and significant experience working in adult substance use treatment.

This is a hybrid position that requires regular travel throughout the region. The successful candidate must be able to supervise staff, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and experience using Microsoft Office are essential.

About the Role
  • The Clinical Behavioral Health Program Director will oversee the implementation of SAFE Family Recovery in the region, supervising Recovery Support Specialists and MDFR Specialists.
  • They will monitor staff completion of training and quality assurance activities, submit data and reports to DCF as required by contract, and write reports for programs and DCF.
  • The role involves attendance at client case consultation and service planning meetings, serving as the local program point of contact for DCF, other community providers, and the juvenile courts.
Responsibilities

The Clinical Behavioral Health Program Director will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with ABH policies and procedures.
  • Recruiting, hiring, and supervising staff, including providing orientation and on-the-job training.
  • Establishing short and long-term goals and communicating expectations clearly to direct and indirect reports.
  • Reviewing and approving timesheets, overseeing daily responsibilities, and providing feedback and coaching as needed.
Requirements
  • A master's degree and licensure in social work or a related field are required.
  • Significant experience working in adult substance use treatment, preferably in a leadership role, is preferred.
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance coverage are required.
  • The successful candidate must be willing to provide community-based services with regional travel and respond to company cell phone during regular work hours.
Estimated Salary Range

$75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
