Madison-Kipp Corporation, a leader in high-pressure die casting and precision machining, seeks a skilled Die Repair Technician to join their team in Madison, WI.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined individual to troubleshoot and repair dies not functioning as designed. As a Die Repair Technician, you will perform routine maintenance, disassemble and assemble casting dies, and make minor corrections to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Identify and fix issues with dies that are not functioning correctly, including replacing cores, date codes, or ejector pins.
  • Maintenance and Assembly: Disassemble and reassemble casting dies for scheduled maintenance, performing routine checks and adjustments as needed.
  • Quality Control: Inspect dies for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet specifications and requirements.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate equipment such as the ejector pin grinder, hydraulic cavity extraction equipment, and hydraulic power unit.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in die-casting or equivalent trade.
  • Skills: Knowledge of die casting processes, mechanical aptitude, and ability to work independently.
  • Certifications: Must be able to obtain MKC forklift and crane certification.
