Executive Leader in Behavioral Health Service Development

MedStar Health is a leading healthcare provider in the Baltimore-Washington metro region, recognized as one of the "Healthiest Maryland Businesses". We are seeking an experienced executive leader to join our team as a Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled professional to lead our Behavioral Health Service, responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities to integrate behavioral health services across our acute care and outpatient medical/surgical areas. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, a willingness to collaborate with various stakeholders, and experience in hospital-based behavioral health management.
ResponsibilitiesFiscal and Operational PerformanceThe Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services will be responsible for fiscal and operational performance, directly and through subordinate administrative personnel. This includes determining and submitting revenue, staffing, operating, and capital budgets, as well as ensuring that fiscal targets are realized.
Program Development and ManagementThe successful candidate will plan, organize, and direct programs and operations of the departments and programs of psychiatry, ensuring that program objectives are congruent with strategic and operational goals. They will also establish operational priorities and activities to facilitate and support program success.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality ImprovementThe Senior Director will work collaboratively with others to ensure regulatory compliance and to organize, initiate, and coordinate continuous quality improvement activities within areas of responsibility.
Qualifications- Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Behavioral Health, or related field.
- 5-7 years' healthcare management experience with hospital-based services encompassing progressively responsible administrative experience.
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology preferred.
- Management experience in hospital-based Behavioral Health preferred.
- Behavioral Health hospital-based regulatory and revenue cycle experience preferred.
- Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor preferred.
The estimated salary for this position is $131,243,256.00. MedStar Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
