Behavioral Health Associate

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Associate to join our team at Embark Behavioral Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting adolescents ages 12-17 in their journey toward improved mental health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure student safety during traditional sleeping hours, staying awake and alert throughout the shift.
- Conduct bed checks every 15 minutes to monitor student safety and address needs.
- Provide support and care to students who are ill or experiencing difficulties.
- Accurately observe and document student behavior.
- Complete all responsibilities effectively during each shift.
- Undertake specialized assignments from the Supervisor as needed.
- Collaborate with Day Staff for seamless transitions between shifts.
Requirements:
- Age: 21+ years of age or older.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D required. An associate's or bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Quick decision-making skills and a growth mindset with a focus on Embark's core values.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with adolescent populations is preferred.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training provided).
- Background Checks: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and federal and state background check in accordance with XX state laws.
