Role: Technical Support Representative
A well-established company with over 20 years in the industry is expanding its workforce and is looking for part-time Technical Support Representatives to join a values-driven team.
This role offers a competitive starting wage of $13.50 per hour, with potential earnings up to $19.50 per hour based on experience, certifications, and educational background.
Compensation Structure:Base Salary: Starting at $13.50/hour
Certification-Based Pay Increases:
- CWT or CompTIA A+: +$1.00/hour
- RCNA or Network+: +$1.00/hour
- ITIL 4: +$1.00/hour
Education-Based Pay Increase:
- Relevant college degree: +$2.00/hour
The Technical Support Representative is responsible for managing incoming calls from guests and staff seeking technical assistance. This position acts as the first line of support for customers' technical inquiries regarding internet services.
In this role, you will be tasked with creating and managing support tickets, troubleshooting user device connectivity issues, and diagnosing network problems for resolution or escalation.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver exceptional phone and email support to customers
- Manage multiple call queues concurrently
- Assist customers with connectivity challenges
- Direct VIP callers to appropriate departments and document interactions
- Ensure availability during scheduled hours for consistent support
- Provide on-call and weekend support as needed
- Accurately report on cases and tickets
- Identify and track recurring issues
- Handle calls within designated timeframes
- Take ownership of open tickets and fulfill commitments to customers
- Analyze root causes and troubleshoot networking challenges
- Collaborate with customers on network-related issues
- Determine next steps for network issues, including equipment replacements and dispatches
- Document network issues for handoff to Level 2 support
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Help Desk or Call Center environments
- Ability to quickly learn and understand complex technologies
- Positive attitude towards customers and the organization
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
