Job Summary

The Senior Credit and Collections Manager will play a critical role in the financial services department of the Saint-Gobain Group, overseeing the collections and risk assessment of customers with sales exceeding $7 billion across all business units. This position requires in-depth analysis of customer financial statements, collection activities, research, and resolution of deductions, credits, and unapplied payments, as well as the reconciliation of customers' balances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of specialists, analysts, and managers to support the financial services needs of all business units.
  • Approve credit limits up to $1.5 million.
  • Recommend and implement policies and procedures governing collection, risk assessment, and business activities.
  • Collaborate with the Saint-Gobain North America Shared Service Center (SGNA SSC) to satisfy individual business unit demands and requirements.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in credit, collections, and deductions management, with a focus on account reconciliation, deduction resolution, and customer-facing activities.
  • 5+ years of experience building and managing high-performance credit and collections teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business; MBA, CPA, or professional credit certification preferred.
  • SAP experience required; GetPaid experience strongly preferred.
  • Extensive financial statement analysis experience and experience working with external legal counsel and credit bureau reporting.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and understanding of finance, internal controls, bankruptcy knowledge, creditor rights, and A/R and related reserves accounting.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel; strong knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on customer contact, experience working with major accounts and Sr. Executives.
