Overview:

In this role, you will be pivotal in identifying and defining the comprehensive security needs for safeguarding sensitive information. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the deployment of suitable information security measures and conducting thorough evaluations of security risks, including risk assessments and management processes. You will engage with clients, IT personnel, and senior management to establish and fulfill essential Cybersecurity goals for the organization. Your contributions will be vital in developing security frameworks and integrating legacy systems into current infrastructures. You will also play a key role in preparing security authorization documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct security planning, assessments, and risk management support activities.
  • Perform risk evaluations to facilitate the integration of legacy systems within the existing IT framework.
  • Analyze Cybersecurity measures implemented in systems intended for operational deployment.
  • Draft risk assessments, action plans, authorization recommendations, and associated security documentation.
  • Identify and support overarching security requirements to safeguard data and ensure adherence to information security policies and controls.
  • Incorporate Cybersecurity functions into the development and risk management processes, particularly focusing on infrastructure protection and defensive IT strategies.
  • Facilitate collaboration with clients, IT teams, and senior executives to define and achieve necessary risk management objectives.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in roles such as IT Risk Assessor, System Security Engineer, Information Systems Security Manager, or similar positions in programs and contracts of comparable scope and complexity.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering is required. Alternatively, an additional four (4) years of experience may substitute for a degree, totaling eight (8) years.
  • Proficient knowledge in areas including system security design, defense-in-depth strategies, engineering life cycles, information domains, cross-domain solutions, and security testing.
