Position: Cybersecurity Systems Protection Specialist

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of an organization's information assurance initiatives
  • Develop and enforce policies and standards for information systems security
  • Ensure the operational integrity of information systems
  • Evaluate security solutions for adherence to compliance standards
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments
  • Oversee configuration management for security-related software and hardware
  • Create documentation such as System Security Plans and Risk Assessment Reports
  • Facilitate security authorization processes

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, or security authorization
  • Proficiency in security tools, hardware/software security, communication protocols, or encryption technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or IT Engineering
  • Relevant certifications such as CAP, CND, or Security+
Required Skills:
  • Implement information systems security policies and methodologies
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and assess security solutions
  • Support Configuration Management for security systems
  • Ensure adherence to security policies
  • Monitor and uphold the appropriate security posture
  • Develop and revise system security documentation
  • Assist the Information System Security Manager
  • Secure system authorizations
  • Provide support for information assurance initiatives
Clearance Requirement:
This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. US Citizenship is necessary for consideration.
