Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Lead to join our team at GE Aviation. As a key member of our Advanced Technologies Organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of flight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technical professionals to develop and implement innovative solutions for next-generation aircraft propulsion systems.
  • Develop and manage system requirements for supplier-designed fluids hardware, including pumps, filters, heat exchangers, and other critical components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate system designs with engine and airframe components.
  • Execute system and component analyses to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Communicate and present key trade studies and decisions to technical and program leadership.
  • Guide and mentor less experienced engineering team members to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Meet customer deliverables with quality and punctuality, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Manage multiple program deliverables, including creating schedules and managing to those schedules.
  • Identify suppliers and partners required to meet engine deliverables.
  • Provide regular updates to technical leadership, including through design reviews, design guidance efforts, and programmatic reviews.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute projects.
  • Flexible, friendly, and collaborative approach to working within hybrid on- and off-site teams.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about inventing the next generation of aerospace technology.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams to ensure the task is completed on time.
