Position Overview

The Laboratory Operations Manager is responsible for the effective management of laboratory facilities, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the planning and implementation of biological laboratory and field activities.
  • Procure laboratory materials and equipment while overseeing financial allocations for laboratory courses.
  • Oversee the management of laboratory inventory and supplies.
  • Mentor and oversee student assistants in their laboratory duties.
  • Conduct annual evaluations of laboratory preparation documentation.
  • Guarantee a safe and efficient laboratory environment for all users.
  • Formulate, revise, and enforce laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Uphold safety regulations across all instructional and research laboratories within the department.

Qualifications Required

Educational Background

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Experience Required

  • A minimum of two (2) years of pertinent work experience.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $29.03.
