Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EEG Technologist II to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our neurodiagnostic team, you will be responsible for performing electroencephalography procedures under general technical supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Perform EEG procedures independently under general technical supervision
  • Recognize clinically significant events and follow facility policy and procedures regarding critical test results
  • Maintain continuing education requirements for R. EEG T. credential by reviewing literature and attending educational meetings
  • Establish policies and procedures according to established standards of practice
  • Provide direct technical supervision and indirect technical supervision to EEG Technologist I as required
Requirements
  • Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program or an Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Credential in electroencephalography (R. EEG T.*)
  • Three or more years experience in the performance of EEG procedures in a patient care environment
  • Well-developed PC and Microsoft Windows knowledge
Working Conditions

Frequent walking, sitting/standing, reaching, kneeling/crawling, pulling/pushing >50 pounds, carrying. Must be good or greater: vision, hearing, manual dexterity, talking and speech, typing. Requires the ability to concentrate for long periods of time under stressful conditions and still perform properly and effectively.
