The EEG Technologist II - Neuro Special Studies position at Nationwide Children's Hospital requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to perform electroencephalography procedures under general technical supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electroencephalography, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities- Perform electroencephalography procedures under general technical supervision, recognizing clinically significant events and following facility policy and procedures regarding critical test results.
- Maintain continuing education requirements of ABRET for R. EEG T. credential by reviewing literature and attending educational meetings for the latest accepted practices.
- Establish policies and procedures according to established standards of practice.
- Perform any other related duties that are consistent with patient and technical care for this level.
- Participate in tutoring, demonstrating, and mentoring other team members.
- Provide direct technical supervision and indirect technical supervision to the EEG Technologist I as required.
- Credential in electroencephalography (R. EEG T.*).
- Three or more years experience in the performance of EEG procedures in a patient care environment.
- Well developed PC and Microsoft Windows knowledge.
The EEG Technologist II - Neuro Special Studies position requires frequent walking, sitting/standing, reaching, and pulling/pushing >50 pounds. The physical environment includes bright and dim lighting, mechanical hazards, hazardous substances, and infectious diseases. The ability to concentrate for long periods of time under stressful conditions is essential.
