We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Specialist II to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Electroneurodiagnostic Department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of our clinical services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of electroneurodiagnostic procedures on patients with suspected neurologic injury and disease, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
- Prepare patients for long-term testing, collecting relevant information for test interpretation and demonstrating age-appropriate care and service.
- Recognize and eliminate artifact and electrical interference to obtain high-quality tracings, and display patient activity in an optimal fashion for clinical interpretation.
- Provide exceptional patient care and detailed observations during seizures and other emergency situations, and participate in conferences and educational activities to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
- Serve as a training instructor for junior staff, technologist trainees, and other medical personnel, and contribute to the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program in the institution and department.
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or related field preferred.
- Technologist registered by the American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists.
- Certification in Long-term Monitoring (CLTM).
- Current CPR certificate.
- Proficient in computer operations and technology.
