Job Summary:

The Sr. Director of Dining Services is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Foodservice operations, managing and leading a team of employees, and developing strong client relationships. This role requires a strong understanding of food service operations, inventory management, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Operate the department in accordance with the approved budget, providing maximum value to clients while ensuring superior quality food offerings.
  • Food Quality and Safety: Direct and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs to ensure a clean and safe food environment.
  • Team Leadership: Promote the professional growth and development of the entire team, fostering strong inter-departmental relations and integrating the dining service department with the facility plan of operations.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain excellent relationships with clients, students, faculty, guests, and other departments within the community.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory and purchasing knowledge and control to ensure efficient operations.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate strong knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of additional experience.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of five years of proven leadership expertise.
  • Food Service Experience: Two to four years of direct food service operational management experience.
  • Certifications: ServSafe certification a plus.
