About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team at American Pools and Spas. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and processing invoices, assigning vendor numbers, and verifying accounting codes. You will also be responsible for issuing payments to vendors, processing routine monthly payments, answering vendor inquiries, and preparing monthly inventory control reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assign vendor numbers and verify accounting codes.
  • Issue payments to vendors and process routine monthly payments.
  • Answer vendor inquiries by researching accounts.
  • Prepare monthly inventory control reports.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to type 30 words per minute.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experience with accounting software.
