Project Manager

Overview

Under the guidance of the Project Director, the Project Manager oversees personnel, subcontractors, material vendors, and inspectors for designated projects. This role serves as the on-site representative of Crawford Hoying. The Project Manager orchestrates the workflow and synchronizes various elements of construction. This individual may operate independently or collaboratively, with or without oversight, and is expected to fulfill responsibilities in a manner that meets or surpasses the standards established by Crawford Hoying.

Key Responsibilities (responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following)
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, specifications, technical guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Engage with engineers, architects, and clients regarding design challenges
  • Precisely estimate costs, materials, and labor requirements for construction in collaboration with others
  • Assess alternative construction methods for cost-effectiveness and quality
  • Develop standard operating procedures based on method evaluations
  • Organize the workforce and delegate tasks
  • Supervise laborers and subcontractors, establishing workflow and priorities to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Coordinate, direct, and schedule subcontractor work while understanding their fundamental concepts and methods
  • Set quality control benchmarks and oversee their application
  • Accurately complete weekly production reports, timesheets, and other documentation
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in the construction sector
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and commitment to the company and clients
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, Education, and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent or 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong analytical and multitasking skills
  • Ability to provide clear instructions and address inquiries
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
Work Environment

The Project Manager operates on-site with external and internal clients, subcontractors, and suppliers regularly. While the majority of work occurs indoors, conditions may vary due to renovations, relocations, or restructuring. The Project Manager may also spend time outdoors in varying weather conditions. Travel is primarily within designated regions. The typical project size involves new construction.

Physical Requirements

The Project Manager's physical capabilities must be adequate for the consistent and successful execution of the responsibilities outlined for this position. This role frequently necessitates standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
