About the Role

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Global Privacy Compliance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of our privacy, data protection, and records management functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in leading efforts to align with all relevant privacy and data protection laws in assigned jurisdictions, including the General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
  • Review and analyze global processing activities occurring at TJX and draft necessary privacy assessments for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Advise on and undertake due-diligence and contract-negotiation efforts regarding third-party use of TJX data, in conjunction with Legal, Procurement, and other functions.
  • Stay abreast of privacy developments and best practices and help adjust strategies and program designs accordingly.
  • Maintain focus on continuous improvement regarding all aspects of privacy, data protection, and records management.
  • Manage privacy-related projects as needed.
Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of privacy compliance or risk management experience with knowledge of global privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and PIPEDA, and related privacy assessments.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, law degree is a plus.
  • Certification related to Privacy and Data Protections (e.g., International Association of Privacy Professionals certifications) a plus.
  • Excellent judgement, leadership, interpersonal, communication, organization, prioritization, technical, process-improvement, influencing, and management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and build effective working relationships with internal partners across the organization.
  • Experience handling privacy, data protection, and records management requirements for a diverse array of data, ideally with a broad global reach.
  • Experience instilling a culture of continuous improvement.
  • International experience is a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other Microsoft platform technologies (e.g., SharePoint).

Compensation

This position has a starting salary range of $99,600 to $129,600 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
