We serve a worldwide market to both retail customers and commercial clients and are looking for a Procurement Manager to oversee all aspects of procurement, including strategic sourcing, negotiating contracts, managing long-term supplier relationships, and ensuring that our purchasing activities align with our production needs and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic sourcing process to identify and select suppliers who can provide quality ingredients and materials at competitive prices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while also monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Negotiate contracts with global suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing agreements, while also ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Work closely with the production and inventory teams to forecast demand, maintain optimal inventory levels, and minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize purchasing processes and reduce expenses without compromising quality or service levels.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all purchased materials and ingredients meet our quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry developments to make informed decisions and maintain competitiveness in the marketplace.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including production, finance, and logistics, to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with overall business objectives and operational needs.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions, such as supplier shortages, price fluctuations, or geopolitical issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing function, leveraging data analytics and performance metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and process optimization.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree with 5-9 years of Supply Chain/Procurement experience
  • Must have experience in a highly regulated, food industry
