The Senior Tax Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Acuity's foreign, federal, and state income tax operations, with a primary focus on ensuring compliance for a complex multinational U.S.-based partnership. This role may involve managing a Tax Analyst when appropriate and will report directly to the Director of Tax.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of intricate U.S. federal and state partnership tax returns.
  • Development of tax trial balances for use in U.S. partnership and corporate tax filings.
  • Management of partner capital accounts.
  • Assistance with ASC 740 tax provision functions, including global operations that result in entity-level taxes.
  • Oversight of indirect tax functions, including sales and use tax and/or property tax.
  • Preparation of Schedule M's for disregarded entities and C Corporations.
  • Calculation and remittance of state estimated taxes.
  • Preparation of quarterly internal tax footnotes and year-end '10K' tax footnotes.
  • Filing of annual BPOL returns.
  • Preparation or review of quarterly tax reconciliations for subsidiaries.
  • Conducting tax research as necessary.
  • Additional duties as assigned by senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in partnership taxation within a Big 4 accounting firm at the Tax Manager level.
  • A minimum of 7 years of tax-related experience.
  • CPA certification and/or a Master's degree in taxation.
  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with tax provision and compliance software platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong interest in international tax matters.
  • Familiarity with Deltek/Costpoint accounting systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
