Position Summary:
We are pleased to present an opportunity to join Sutter Health as an Obstetric Surgical Technician. This role is essential in providing support during surgical procedures related to obstetrics.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Obstetric Surgical Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Executing scrubbing duties for various surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and emergent hysterectomies.
  • Preparing operating rooms and labor delivery recovery suites with necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Assisting registered nurses in delivering patient care during the intra-operative phase.
  • Maintaining and managing inventory of supplies across multiple departments.
  • Monitoring aseptic techniques and ensuring the safety of patients and team members.
  • Participating in the evaluation and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Documenting actions and maintaining logs in accordance with established policies.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; two years of college education is preferred.
  • Experience in inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Work Schedule:
This position requires flexibility with evening shifts and may include weekend work on a rotating basis.
