About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Campus Veterinary Clinic in Berkeley, California. As a vital member of our hospital team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, assisting with surgical procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Room patients, prepare them for examination and treatment, and assist with medical procedures
  • Assist with surgical procedures, including preparing patients, maintaining asepsis, and monitoring anesthesia
  • Draw blood, run bloodwork, and perform other laboratory tests as needed
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including x-ray machines and other diagnostic tools
  • Provide excellent customer service, educate clients on animal care and health, and promote our hospital's services
Requirements
  • Current Registered Veterinary Technician license in the state of California
  • Experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic, preferably with surgical assisting and laboratory experience
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment, with experience working with these tools a plus
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners, with excellent communication and organizational skills
