Compliance Specialist I/II Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist I/II to join our team at the State of Alaska. As a Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting detailed and analytical compliance reviews of privately owned affordable housing developments following appropriate federal housing program rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct annual monitoring of assigned portfolios of HOME, LIHTC, SCHDF, NSP, NHTF, and TEB developments to determine compliance with IRS Code Section 42, HUD, AHFC Agreements, and other applicable compliance regulations.
- Provide constructive and organized oral and written presentations to Property Managers and Owners regarding activities associated with compliance audits and regulatory responsibilities of respective developments statewide.
- Manage multiple compliance reviews simultaneously and effectively in an organized manner within established timeframes.
- Evaluate program compliance across multiple affordable housing programs.
- Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Property Management.
- Professional work experience in the administration of federal programs, housing subsidy programs, housing management, or other housing-related fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
