Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Clerk II to join our team at the Municipality of Anchorage, AK. As a key member of our Municipal Attorney's office, you will provide administrative support to our attorneys and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and databases, ensuring compliance with municipal regulations and policies.
  • Prepare and distribute documents, reports, and other materials as required, utilizing strong typing and editing skills.
  • Assist with the coordination of meetings, events, and training sessions, ensuring seamless logistics and communication.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, mail sorting, and supply management, maintaining a high level of efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of clerical or office experience, including one year in a legal or law enforcement environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong typing skills, with a minimum net speed of 35 WPM, and the ability to obtain Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN) clearance within one month of hire.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
