Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Essentia Health. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide direct care to patients and support the needs of patients in a safe and comfortable manner. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal hygiene care and assist with nutritional needs
  • Provide comfort care and other assistance as needed
  • Transfer patients safely and efficiently
  • Take vital signs and complete recordkeeping
  • Recognize and report changes in patient condition to the RN
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program or current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry
  • Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
  • Successful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire
  • Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
  • Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry
  • BLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date
