Cash Application Specialist Job Description

MKS Instruments is seeking a skilled Cash Application Specialist to join our team. As a valued member of our Accounts Receivable department, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate application of incoming payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post incoming ACH, Wire, Lockbox, and Credit Card payments in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reconcile incoming cash receipts, balancing the bank statement to the general ledger on a daily and monthly basis
  • Track, research, and manage unidentified payments for proper and timely posting
  • Collaborate with the Collection Team on timely payment research, account reconciliations, and cash application requests
  • Process Credit Card transactions for customers and ensure subsequent cash receipts
  • Proactively contact customers for required supporting documentation

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of recent commercial cash applications experience
  • Working experience in Oracle Cash Application preferred or other large ERP
  • Knowledge of general ledger transactions
  • The ability to reconcile complex transactions
  • Skill at managing multiple priorities
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
