Nursing Care Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse on our Float Team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients across various in-patient units and the Clinical Evaluation Center. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, identifying potential crisis situations, and utilizing de-escalation techniques to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
Nursing Interventions and Leadership
You will plan and implement nursing interventions for assigned patients, establish a therapeutic alliance, and demonstrate safe and accurate medication administration. Additionally, you will participate in leading patient groups and provide leadership in organizing and providing patient care. As a member of the Resource Team, you will have the opportunity to work with Mental Health Workers and provide direction and supervision.
Teaching and Education
You will provide teaching needs for patients and their significant others, and as a member of the Resource Team, you will receive an additional $1/hr on your base salary. Qualifications for this role include being a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and possessing demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
