Job Summary

The Pump Installation Specialist will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of water well pumps. This role requires a strong understanding of pumps, motors, wells, electricity, controls, piping, rigging, chemicals, and well rehabilitation tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair water well pumps, including troubleshooting and repair of pump systems.
  • Prepare job sites, including assembling parts, supplies, and materials.
  • Train and supervise Pump Technicians to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain and repair company-issued equipment, including pumps, motors, and other well-related equipment.
  • Conduct well rehabilitation efforts using chemicals and mechanical means.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including reports, driving logs, and timesheets.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid state driver's license and Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days.
  • 1-3 years of previous pump installation and repair experience as a Pump Installer or Pump Technician.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain company equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to problem-solve when faced with obstacles.
  • Ability to promote additional company services.
  • Ability to train new employees.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to operate small hand tools.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
