Job Summary

Pacific Clinics is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Specialist II to join our team. As a Family Specialist II, you will work with children and families to provide supportive resources, case management, skills enhancement, and community connections. Your focus will be on removing barriers to child and family success and increasing protective factors that strengthen families.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide direct billable mental health services, documenting in alignment with MediCal regulations and achieving set productivity expectations.
  • Coach and mentor others in the principles and concepts of functional behavior analysis and the development of individualized engagement processes.
  • Teach others how to utilize strengths of children, families, and others to assist in the implementation and achievement of goals and outcomes.
  • Initiate and lead groups in developing resources within the community to serve children and families.
  • Mentor, coach, and train Family Specialists I.
  • Coach others on how to engage caregivers in building youth-specific parenting responses that support positive behavior change and overall family relationships.
  • Document interactions and practices and maintain administrative expectations in a timely manner and provide documentation coaching to others.
  • Provide leadership in developing program responses to needs identified across a number of youth and families where natural community resources are not available or appropriate.
Requirements
  • BA degree plus 2 years' experience working with children.
  • AA degree plus 6 years' experience working with children.
  • MHRS certification eligibility.
  • MA degree in a mental health-related field plus 2 years related experience in a mental health setting, Or.
  • BA degree plus 4 years related experience in a mental health setting, OR
  • AA degree plus 6 years related experience in a mental health setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Speak, read, and/or write another language.
Other Specific Requirements
  • Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Child Abuse Index Check (CAIC) background clearance.
  • Valid California Driver's license with two years' experience driving and a clean driving record may be required.
