About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Therapist to join our Therapeutic Behavioral Services Program (TBS) team at Seneca Family of Agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behaviorally focused, intensive mental health services to children who have been identified as at-risk for higher levels of care or are stepping down from higher levels of care.
  • Work directly with the client and their families/support networks to provide them with tangible skills specifically tailored to their strengths and needs to address target behaviors.
  • Services for children and families are family focused, strength based, and are provided in the community including, but not limited to, schools, hospitals, and family homes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree OR Associate degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience working directly with youth and their families within the mental health field.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills as demonstrated by the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Cultural responsiveness; ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Own vehicle, Valid California driver's license and insurability with Seneca's automobile policy.
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
  • Must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Experience providing crisis assessment, management, and interventions.
  • Experience writing progress notes and other therapeutic documentation.
  • Full-time, Monday - Friday.
  • Starting at $ per hour, the actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role.
  • An additional compensation upon passing a bilingual exam.
