We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Registration Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a Patient Access Registration Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing excellent customer service and facilitating the registration and scheduling process for patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Register and schedule patients for appointments, tests, and procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Insurance and Eligibility: Verify patient insurance and eligibility, collect co-pays and balances, and follow up on pending issues.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information in the electronic health system.
- Communication: Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care.
- Customer Service Experience: Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Computer Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, internet, and email.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
- High School Diploma: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Epic: Experience with Epic or other electronic health record systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Visual and Auditory Skills: Ongoing need for caregiver to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
- Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Physical Ability: Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment.
