Job Summary:

McGriff Insurance Services is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Account Manager to join our team. As an Insurance Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining key client and carrier relationships, providing exceptional customer service, and identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers through regular communication and in-person meetings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell our products to clients, increasing revenue and growth for the company.
  • Work closely with producers and account executives to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to clients.
  • Prepare and present marketing information to clients, highlighting the benefits and value of our products.
  • Conduct quarterly account management visits with clients to review renewal decisions and formulate plans to address any issues.
  • Review claims reports monthly and deliver reports to clients on a regular basis, as required.
  • Provide administrative support on special projects and development of new ideas and services, as requested.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, legislative changes, and new products available for clients, attending seminars and classes as needed.
  • Mentor and train junior account managers to ensure knowledge and skills are transferred and developed within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five years of solid experience in property and casualty insurance or equivalent experience.
  • State-issued license is preferred, but not required. Must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability and experience working with large retail accounts is preferred, but working with small to medium retail accounts will be considered.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
