Your role in the team:

As a Mechanical Piping Foreman, your responsibilities will include preparing, fabricating, and installing plumbing and piping systems for both commercial and residential projects. You will be expected to train and supervise apprentices and other journeymen, providing constructive feedback on their progress and performance. The daily responsibilities of a Foreman can vary, as you will direct the work of apprentices and journeymen, design work layouts, develop task lists, and determine the sequence and methods of assembly and installation based on blueprints and project specifications. You will also play a crucial role in motivating employees to achieve ambitious yet attainable production goals while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and collaboration. Close collaboration with Project Managers, Division Managers, and Field Superintendents will be essential, along with participation in on-site trade coordination meetings.

Your qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Piping Foreman position will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial plumbing and mechanical piping, demonstrating strong skills and knowledge in the field. Additional technical training or education will distinguish you as a Foreman. Continuous training and education are expected as required. A high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum educational requirement.

Physical demands of the role:

Working in the plumbing and piping sector can be physically demanding. As a Mechanical Piping Foreman, you must have the physical capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs, along with the balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete tasks in various environments. Foremen must also be able to work at heights, on ladders or lifts, and in all weather conditions for extended periods. If offered a position with the company, you will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background check.
