Your Role:

As a Senior Mechanical Piping Supervisor, you will be responsible for the preparation, fabrication, and installation of plumbing and piping systems for various projects. Supervisors are expected to mentor and oversee apprentices and other journeymen, providing constructive feedback on their development and performance. Your daily responsibilities will vary, including directing the work of apprentices and journeymen, designing work layouts, creating task lists, and determining the sequence and methods of assembly and installation based on blueprints and project specifications. You will also play a crucial role in motivating team members to achieve ambitious yet attainable production goals while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and collaboration. Close collaboration with Project Managers, Division Managers, and Field Superintendents is essential, along with participation in on-site trade coordination meetings.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Mechanical Piping Supervisor position will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial plumbing and mechanical piping, demonstrating robust skills and knowledge in the field. Additional technical training or education will set you apart as a candidate. Supervisors are expected to pursue further training and education as necessary. A high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum educational requirement.

Physical Requirements:

Working in the plumbing and piping sector can be physically demanding. As a Senior Mechanical Piping Supervisor, you must have the physical capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs, along with the balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina needed to complete tasks in various environments. Supervisors must also be able to work at heights, on ladders or lifts, and in diverse weather conditions for extended periods. If offered a position, you will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background check.
