Key Responsibilities:
Peraton is in search of a Tier 1 Application Support Specialist.

The Tier 1 Application Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering first-line Service Desk assistance to all users within the Military Health Systems (MHS). This position necessitates a solid understanding of the applications supported in the MHS ecosystem, along with technical expertise in both hardware and software.


Core Duties:
1. Provide first-contact support for all incoming inquiries, creating an Incident for every new issue.

2. Ensure accurate logging, ticketing, and tracking of all incidents, taking ownership of each case.

3. Deliver timely, precise, and professional resolutions for all supported issues.

4. Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.

5. Conduct thorough follow-ups on all Incidents in a timely and professional manner.

6. Quickly identify and escalate high-priority issues as necessary.

7. Accurately triage, assign, and escalate tickets in accordance with established processes and standards.

8. Efficiently resolve all assigned Incidents with accuracy.

9. Document Incident resolutions and support knowledge for future reference.

10. Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

11. Uphold dependable attendance and adhere to the established schedule.

Qualifications:

Required:
High School diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.

Possession of a Department of Defense security clearance (ADP II Public Trust) or the capability to obtain one.

Strong critical thinking abilities that enhance effective problem-solving.

Capability to support and maintain proficiency across a diverse range of services.

Ability to communicate technical information clearly to a non-technical audience.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Proficiency in multitasking within a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Understanding of Service Desk support methodologies.

Preferred:
Experience with Military Health Systems is advantageous.

Relevant technical certifications are a plus.

Familiarity with ITIL (certification preferred).

HDI certification is preferred.

Salary Range:
$30,000 - $48,000. This range reflects the typical salary for this role based on experience and other factors.
