CT Technologist, Part-Time, Cancer Center

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a part-time CT Technologist to join our team at Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Responsibilities- Review physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Screen patients for contrast allergies and contraindications
- Communicate with radiologists to discuss stat/urgent findings
- Administer intravenous injections of contrast material as needed
- Ensure proper documentation of images and patient information
- Perform CT exams in accordance with radiation safety guidelines
- Assist patients with dressing and positioning for exams
- Communicate with patients and families regarding test procedures and results
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in CT
- Licensure by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associates degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent
