About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our inpatient imaging team at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Review physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness, and communicate with radiologists to discuss stat/urgent findings.
  • Interview patients, conduct screenings, and obtain medical histories to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Administer contrast materials, observe patients for adverse reactions, and assist physicians as needed.
  • Perform quality control testing, report problems with CT systems, and maintain QA compliances.
  • Respond to inquiries, utilize organizational culture behaviors, and actively participate in codes and rapid responses.
  • Provide orientation and training for new hires and students, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient care.
  • Prioritize exams, minimize wait times, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in CT.
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
  • Associates degree in Radiologic Sciences or graduate from an AMA-approved school; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Working Conditions

This position is security-sensitive and requires working in a hospital or hospital clinic environment.
