Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as an Application or Monitoring Architect/Engineer within a large-scale enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
  • Deep understanding of application architecture and support mechanisms
  • Experience with Java or .NET application support
  • Familiarity with Windows and Unix-based infrastructure services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Sitescope, Tivoli, MicroFocus BPM, or Catchpoint
  • Prior experience with financial institutions

Role Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a Monitoring Architect/Engineer to enhance the Operational Intelligence Team for a prominent financial services client. The role involves collaborating with a team of skilled mid-senior Engineers to establish a comprehensive global monitoring strategy for critical Markets APS applications. This includes the design, architecture, planning, review, development, and implementation of end-to-end monitoring solutions.

The team is currently integrating a new set of applications from the Global Banking sector that lack adequate monitoring frameworks. The selected candidate will evaluate existing monitoring capabilities, identify application monitoring requirements, and develop a strategic approach to address any deficiencies. This will involve working closely with application teams to determine optimal monitoring practices and collaborating with engineers to devise effective solutions. The role entails approximately 40% architectural oversight and 60% hands-on engineering responsibilities.

The individual will pinpoint deficiencies in the current monitoring systems, specifically within Dynatrace and Splunk. They will be responsible for integrated systems planning and making recommendations for new technologies that could enhance existing systems, aligning with corporate and business objectives related to Application Production Support monitoring strategies. A thorough understanding of application components, their construction, operation, support, and interaction with system software and hardware is crucial for success in this position.
