Position Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the financial, scheduling, and performance metrics of designated programs.

The role requires planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting on project activities, while developing management, engineering, risk strategies, schedules, and procurement plans utilizing current methodologies and best practices for IT acquisition, planning, and budgeting.

The individual will represent the organization in high-level committees and groups, advocating for the program's interests, influencing resource distribution, and driving significant changes to project or program objectives.

Responsibilities

The role entails managing high-level stakeholder expectations from external entities, necessitating skills in justifying, defending, negotiating, or addressing substantial or contentious issues in complex environments.

Requirements

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.

This position may necessitate travel from the primary duty station to various locations, including remote or isolated sites, and may involve extended travel on military and commercial aircraft.

Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and the assigned category is required within specified timeframes.

As a Cyberspace Workforce position, the incumbent must maintain qualifications in accordance with relevant policies.

Acquisition of an interim and/or final security clearance is mandatory prior to commencing duties.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience should include:

  • Providing technical, operational, and acquisition support in the application of analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of enhanced information systems.

All candidates must possess IT-related experience showcasing the following competencies:

  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrating thoroughness in work and conscientiousness in detail.
  • Customer Service: Engaging with clients to assess needs and provide assistance.
  • Oral Communication: Effectively conveying information to diverse audiences.
  • Problem Solving: Identifying issues and utilizing sound judgment to propose solutions.
