Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A

Overview

This position is essential for delivering comprehensive financial analysis and support across various operational facets of the organization. Responsibilities include budgeting, profitability assessments, strategic planning, and cost management. The role is pivotal in ensuring precise financial data and insightful analyses to facilitate informed decision-making.



Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Closing: Prepare monthly financial packages for stakeholders, generate financial closing reports, and perform quarterly variance analyses.
  • Budgeting & Strategic Planning: Aid in the annual budgeting process, overseeing all components such as revenue, depreciation, aircraft leasing, and interest expenses.
  • Profitability Assessment: Contribute to monthly profitability reporting and forecasting, necessitating a thorough understanding of cost structures and the ability to model impacts of business conditions.
  • Long-term Strategic Development: Partner with Revenue Planning and Sales teams to formulate the company's long-term strategic objectives.
  • Quarterly Reporting Assistance: Support the filing process through quarterly Business Segment Reporting and other Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) tasks.
  • Cost Management Review: Evaluate cost allocation strategies, identifying opportunities for enhanced cost tracing related to flight and customer profitability.
  • Tactical Improvement Projects: Collaborate with various operational teams to pinpoint and structure significant tactical improvement initiatives.
  • Special Projects & Timelines: Ensure all deadlines associated with the Senior Manager's responsibilities are met, assisting management in achieving company timelines. This includes responsibility for special projects as assigned, such as developing dashboards for senior management.


Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a consulting firm or corporate environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; preferred fields include Finance, Accounting, or Business (strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles is essential); an MBA is advantageous.
  • Proven expertise in various analytical methodologies: comparative ROI, cost-benefit analysis, valuation, statistical modeling, and cost accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with financial reporting and planning systems, SQL, and database modeling is a plus.
  • Quick learner with knowledge of Anaplan, JD Edwards, or other financial systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction across all organizational levels and with external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Willingness to work additional hours and travel as necessary.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000

The financial offer within this range will be determined based on various factors, including location, relevant experience, and skill set.
