Job Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst in FP&A plays a pivotal role in delivering essential financial insights and support across various operational facets of the organization. Your contributions will ensure the availability of precise financial data and valuable analysis to facilitate informed decision-making.



Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Closing: Generate monthly shareholder reports, prepare financial closing documentation, and perform quarterly variance assessments.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the annual budgeting cycle, overseeing all components such as revenue projections, depreciation, aircraft leasing, and interest obligations.
  • Profitability Assessment: Aid in monthly profitability evaluations and forecasts, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of cost structures and the ability to model impacts of business conditions.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with Revenue Planning and Sales teams to formulate the organization’s long-term strategic vision.
  • Quarterly Reporting Assistance: Support the filing process through quarterly Business Segment Reporting and additional Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) support.
  • Cost Management: Analyze cost allocation methodologies, identifying opportunities for enhanced cost tracing related to flight and customer profitability.
  • Tactical Improvement Projects: Collaborate with various operational teams to pinpoint and structure significant tactical improvement initiatives.
  • Special Projects & Timelines: Ensure all deadlines associated with the Senior Manager's responsibilities are met, while also assisting management in achieving company-wide deadlines. This includes managing special projects as assigned, such as developing dashboards for executive management.


Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a consulting environment or corporate setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; preferred fields include Finance, Accounting, or Business (strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles is essential); an MBA is advantageous.
  • Proven expertise in various analytical methodologies: comparative ROI, cost-benefit analysis, valuation, statistical modeling, and cost accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with financial reporting and planning systems, SQL, and database modeling is beneficial.
  • Quick learner: Familiarity with Anaplan, JD Edwards, or other financial systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction across all organizational levels and with external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Willingness to work additional hours and travel as necessary.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000

Financial offers within this range will be determined based on multiple factors, including location, relevant experience, and skill set.
