About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Public Health Specialist to join our team at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission to protect the public's health and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee multi-functional program activities involving a broad and complex range of public health programs.
  • Provide scientific advice and guidance to senior staff on matters related to public health.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve public health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in public health.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • At least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
