Job Title: Public Health Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Health Registered Nurse to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a Public Health Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in promoting health and preventing disease in our communities.

Job Summary:

The Public Health Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols, policies, and procedures. This includes conducting comprehensive physical assessments, developing care plans, and providing education to clients and families. The successful candidate will also be responsible for administering medications and vaccines, and participating in public health emergencies as directed.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and develop care plans based on nursing assessment and established protocols.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
  • Participate in public health emergencies as directed.
  • Provide education to clients and families on health-related topics.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Requirements:
  • Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • CPR certification.
  • One year of nursing experience preferred.
  • Public Health Nursing experience a plus.
