Job Title: Senior Principal Systems Engineer - Space Systems

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Dulles, VA. As a key member of our Space Systems sector, you will be responsible for leading the space segment technical team, including systems analysis and trades, coordinating space segment engineering activities, and managing engineering baselines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and optimize space vehicle design, processing, and mission success.
  • Troubleshoot and develop solutions to complex problems that the program may encounter.
  • Develop, author, and/or provide input to major program data products and other deliverables.
  • Technical management of program elements, including planning and conducting technical reviews and technical baselines.
  • Mentor, coach, train, guide, direct, and advise junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Physics, or related STEM Degree with 8 years of experience in a related engineering field such as mechanical, electrical, aerospace, and/or operations, or a Master's Degree and 6 years of applicable experience.
  • Extensive technical experience in systems engineering and integration of complex systems, including space systems development, manufacture, test, or operations, including previous technical or project leadership positions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active or current TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance.
  • Experience in system architecture and CONOPs development.
  • Experience with integration and test of spacecraft systems.
  • Experience with various technical tools such as MATLAB, STK, CORE, DOORS, or CAMEO.
  • Experience and/or training in Earned Value Management Systems.

Salary Range: $133,000 - $199,600
